Product Description

Chipboard screw are a type of wood screw, high-strength self-tapping screws suitable for connecting wood and lightweight boards. Their core advantages lie in their heat treatment process and optimized thread design, effectively improving installation efficiency and preventing material cracking.

Chipboard screw (also known as fiberboard screws) are heat-treated metal fasteners. They are mainly used to fix medium-density fiberboard (MDF), particleboard, plywood, and other wood-based engineered wood products, and can also be used to connect wood structures to thin steel sheets. Compared to ordinary wood screws, fiberboard nails have higher strength and better self-tapping performance.

Material and Surface Treatment: Mostly made of C1022A carbon steel, but stainless steel (such as 304, 316 stainless steel) can also be produced depending on the application environment. The surface is often galvanized (color zinc, blue-white zinc) or treated with environmentally friendly black zinc, Dacromet, etc., to enhance corrosion resistance.

Common chipboard screw heads include countersunk head, semi-countersunk head, round head, and pan head, suitable for different applications.

Diverse slot types: Supports Phillips, Pozi, Square, and Torx screws, compatible with various screwdriver bits.

MDF screw threads are available in full and partial threads, with full threads being more common for stronger holding power.

Some models utilize a "reduced thread" design, making the threads sharper, saving material and increasing cutting speed.

"Clawed tail" design significantly reduces the risk of cracking when used on hardwoods through optimized thread tip design.

Chipboard screw -wood screw are essential fasteners in modern furniture and building construction. Their advantages, including heat treatment strengthening, full threads, and crack-resistant design, make them superior to traditional wood screws in connecting engineered wood products.
