Product Description

A pan head self-drilling screw is a self-drilling screw with a pan head and a drill bit at the end, designed for efficient penetration of hard materials.

The screw head has a large diameter, disc-shaped head, and usually comes with an integrally molded flat washer. This provides excellent clamping area and load-bearing capacity, effectively preventing the screw head from sinking into the fastened material, distributing pressure, and providing better sealing.

The threaded end has a sharp cutting edge like a twist drill bit, allowing it to complete the "drilling, tapping, and tightening" steps in one pass without pre-drilling, greatly improving work efficiency. Common head types include Phillips head (PH) and slotted head.

Under the head, there is usually an integrally molded large washer. The lower edge of the washer often has serrations or knurling, which can embed into the fastened material, providing anti-loosening, anti-rotation, and sealing functions, preventing rainwater ingress.

The material is usually carbon steel (C1022A) or alloy steel. High-end products use stainless steel (such as 410 and 304). Surface treatment is crucial, determining its corrosion resistance. The most common types include white zinc, blue-white zinc, and yellow zinc, providing basic rust protection. Dacromet has extremely strong rust resistance, is silver-gray in color, and is often used for high-requirement outdoor steel structures. Mechanical galvanizing: Provides a thick coating and excellent corrosion resistance.

Main Applications:

Steel Structure Buildings: Fixing color steel sheets and profiled steel sheets to steel purlins and beams. This is the most classic application.

Metal Roofing and Wall Systems: Fixing roof and wall panels.

Cold-formed thin-walled C/Z-shaped steel connections.

Installation of outdoor metal structures such as railings, shelves, and sunrooms.

Wood Structures: Can also be used when it is necessary to fix metal components to hardwood (but usually for large-sized pieces).

Bespoke Packaging & Branding: Customize box quantities, labeling, branding, and packaging designs to align perfectly with your brand identity and logistical needs.
